The firm was established in 1946 by Britt Alderman Jr, who worked with architect John Portman, among others, to create in many ways the downtown modern Atlanta skyline. The present management team of John E. Mayes, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Jeff Lee, P.E., and Jeff Powell, along with associates, ensures that we are small enough to allow the principals of the firm to be directly involved on a day-to-day basis in every project, and yet sufficient in size to handle large complex projects and meet tight deadlines.
