It all started in 1962 when Janet and Leonard Bruso Jr. opened the doors to Bay State Fuel Oil, Inc.
Back then it was a small operation running out of their home office delivering quality home heating oil to their friends and neighbors throughout Western Massachusetts.
In 1965, however, their small home office was moved and expanded, now providing heating service as well as oil delivery.
This dynamic duo had made such an impact on their customers that Leonard Jr. created and presided over the Western Massachusetts Fuel Dealers Association, heading the group for five years.

Yesterday, we had the privilege to help a Senior Citizen in need.
Mrs. Tonelli of Agawam found herself without heat for this coming winter, her boiler sprung a leak.
On a fixed income and no available funds from the fuel assistance program for boiler replacement, she began to worry about her heating needs for this coming season.
Bay State Fuel reached out to a program called Oil Heat Cares.
Oil Heat Cares is a fully funded Organization by sponsors and donations from participating fuel dealers.

With automatic delivery, we account the size of your house, the number of people living there, the weather, and your heating preferences to estimate when you may need a fuel delivery.
When this day arrives, Bay State simply sends a fuel delivery truck to your home.
