The most common thermostat used by installers in the field is the Honeywell Pro 3000.
This thermostat is non programmable and very easy for consumers to use.
One of the most common questions is how to program the Pro 3000 thermostat.
On the right you will find a a step by step guide to help you program the thermostat.
It will show you, how to enter thermostat into installer mode to correctly set up for correct type of system, heating cycles and compressor cycle rates.
It also provides an explanation of how time delay works to protect the compressor, always make sure to select electric or heat pump depending on which type of system you have.
A brief explanation on how to disassemble and remove an air-conditioning blower motor, and remove the squirrel cage blower wheel, in order to avoid the entire assembly explaining how the two parts can be disassembled separate from each other in order to save the customer money.
Components of a properly installed 12,000 btu Daiken Mini Split Unit, the condenser, power-head, line-set and remote control are explained.
Also an explanation of how the components work and the different sized options that are available on the market in both 110 volt and 220 volts.
Continuing my discussion on the major components of HVAC unit I would like to discuss circuit boards/zone dampers.
The circuit board simply controls the sequence of events needed for proper operation of the equipment.
Most new equipment now use circuit boards instead of a series of relays and timers.
Circuit boards are generally very reliable, which is good because they are usually very expensive.
Most new A/C and HVAC units will come a quality circuit board.
In a HVAC unit circuit boards control most of the major function of the units especially when it comes to sequential operations.
Attics are a great exterior exposure spot to really beef up on insulation.
Often insulation's R-Factor wild degrade over time as the house settles and small settling cracks create crevasses.
This blown in insulation (demonstrated here) is a great to load up the attic with R-13 expanding foam insulation.
Usually, another layer of insulation will keep southern homes cool and dry.
Again, here at Jones insulation we recommend thorough energy audit to maximize the investment on your bottom line dollar.
