Steve’s Plumbing & A/C Service

I'm only writing this review to highlight the efforts of an individual technician. Zach Brownfield has over 10 years of experience in and out of Hawaii. His skill and expertise is extremely evident in his work. It's clear to me he is passionate about his trade and it's also clear his training polished him into the highly skilled technician he is today.

Not only did Zach install 3 faucets and drains, a water softener, a toilet, and repair a hot water heater, he provided detailed explanations of what he was doing and took the time to provide tips and tricks to better maintain all of these items. I watched as Zach meticulously installed these items leaving no stone unturned and taking no shortcuts. Zach also repaired problematic items performed by an unskilled plumber from another company.

It was clear Zach was focused on getting the job done to completeness and perfection, time was not his priority, but rather, Zach went above and beyond and though I believe the prices are too high Zach did his best to find ways to make the service affordable. If this review was for Zach alone, it would be a 10/5 (Amazing job), but due to the price gouging, I rate Steve's Plumbing a 4. HIGHLY recommend you call and request Zach for all your plumbing needs in the future!

Rodney saved the day! We recently had our bathroom renovated and could not figure out why our new toilet was not flushing the way it should be. We called Steve's as we have used them before, and Rodney was there the same day, quickly figured out the problem and a solution! He was able to gracefully pull out a few caps that had got pulled into the toilet bowl (during the renovation) which he thankfully had to spend sometime to get them out as they were really stuck in there. Thank you for taking your time Rodney to figure out the issue and find a solution!

Another fine job done, Leland and Nathan did a great job repairing our showers we appreciate a job well done Steve 's you guys the best in my books.

Aloha, I would just like to leave a service review for the plumbers at Steve's Plumbing! For the past month we've been having some issues with our bathroom plumbing, and the plumbers from Steve's Plumbing have then absolutely exceptional! There was one plumber who stayed over four hours to try and solve our drainage problem. He did not leave until 1 AM and was so gracious after working so hard to resolve the problem which he did. However, we had an issue in the guest bathroom and our plumber Sunny was able to come in, assess the problem and work on the drainage until it was solved!

He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and even cleaned our tub and toilet before he left! We are very happy with Steve's Plumbing and hopefully the issue has been solved!

Excellent experience from booking the appointment, to the service call itself (Josh, the technician, even came earlier than promised). The work was high quality and everything was done in a minimally invasive way with little mess. Recommended.

I had been trying for several weeks to get a shower drain installed. I had several plumbers look at the drain and was told that they had never seen a drain like this and was unable to do the job. I was starting to feel that I wasn't going to find anyone to install the drain. I finally contacted Steve's Plumbing who sent a plumber out the next morning and had the drain installed in 30 minutes. WOW! I was totally impressed with the speed and quality of their work and will be using them for all future plumbing needs. Thanks Steve's Plumbing for a job "Well Done"!

Steve's Plumbing and AC came recommended to me so I called them when I had an issue with my old AC unit. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and Jake came out for the service call in the early part of the window given to me (always helpful!). Jake explained everything, gave me options for a repair needed as well as let me know what to expect within the next 2 yrs so that I could plan. No high pressure upselling and he fixed the problem. I will use them again if/when the need arises!

Fantastic service in all aspects! Easy to make an appointment with the friendly dispatcher and they arrived at the agreed time the next day. I was really glad I found this company. After being let down by other plumbing companies, Steve's plumbing showed up when they said they would, and sent two guys that knew what they were doing. Friendly, professional, and had the right skill set to do the job. Very happy.

Jake was highly knowledgeable and did an excellent job servicing our Dikin air conditioner

Jeremiah was the plumber - no place to fill a name in. and he wasn't on your list. You brought him over from Maui. He could not have been more professional, polite or friendlier. Faced with a difficult job - replacing an on demand hot water system with a hard to find replacement. Located one in Hilo, got it up to Honoka'a and we now have hot water. Yes, it was expensive, but we have hot water.

Think all or part of the 225. service call fee should be applied to a contracted job. But if it takes that to get work done, oh, well. Bottom line is Steve's Plumbing and Jeremiah get as many stars that will fit.******** Mahalo nui loa.

Your technician Aaron Fernandez came out on time and was very professional and diagnosed the problem with our Rheem water heater and explained on how to get a new water heater from home depot because it is on warranty. I will have you guys come out to change the water heater when the part is available. Also I'm the owner of Pacific island towing LLC and will tow any of your service vans or trucks if they have broken down on the big island, I also do lockouts, gas or jumpstarts, flats and I also do minor onsite repairs like alternator or battery replacement or something minor. New review: My scheduling experiences have been much better lately. Plumbing Technicians (Matt and David) and A/C Technicians (Justin) were thorough and great. I have consistently had issues with the call center, however, the plumbers are always great. Matt represents the company extremely well. He is patient and explains well. He is the reason I continue to use Steve's Plumbing despite having issues with the consistent rescheduling and full voicemail box when I return a call.

I was just looking for an estimate on replacing a shower surround. Turns out it's not in my budget, but Jamie and the office staff were so professional, communicated every step of the way. When Jamie came he had his mask on, laid a rug at the front door and put floor protectors over his shoes! Very impressed with that level of professionalism!
